THE I FIGHT Like Seth Alliance
2020 began like any other year, however normal quickly changed. By March we were in a worldwide pandemic. However, we adjusted because life goes on right? Seth was a senior at Hampton High School. He was a member of the marching, concert, and symphonic band. He played the French horn and Mello. He also really loved art and was employed at Baskin-Robbins. Seth was known to be quiet but not shy. He was humble and a hard worker. Music, sneakers, and his sister were his vices. The bond that they share is enviable. Seth believed in the power of prayer and being kind.
In May 2020 Seth was diagnosed with Renal Medullary Carcinoma and “What do we need to do '' and “Let's do it” became two of his mottos. Seth graduated high school while fighting this monster, Seth earned multiple awards and recognitions.
Up until the very end, Seth fought with tenacity, determined to show cancer who was boss! If we can embody any level of #sethstrong we can conquer anything!
#IFIGHTLikeSeth and being #sethstrong, will always be the way!!
OUR MOTTO IS….
“difficult but DOABLE!”
#IFIGHTLikeSeth is a way of life, and everyday we strive to be #Sethstrong.
Seth was diagnosed with Renal Medullary Carcinoma. He began treatment after 9 days of testing and surgeries at the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughter in Norfolk, Virginia. His Primary doctor was Dr. William Owen. Seth was provided incomparable care.
Seth went through innumerable rounds of chemotherapy. Nausea, lethargy, and pain became constant companions. He had his right kidney removed in November 2020 and even had fluid collect in his lungs causing him to need oxygen. Seth still smiled in the face of these trials and this season of suffering. Seth was more concerned about what would happen to his family than himself.
Seth was selfless in the face of death.
Our loving boy laid his sword down on March 16, 2021, at 11:54 PM.
It is our honor to carry on his #legaC, to give ourselves to those in need. We will spread awareness about Renal Medullary Carcinoma but it won’t outshine Seth’s light!!

Before gaining his wings Seth fought with tenacity, determined to show cancer who was boss! Seth graduated from Hampton high school while fighting this monster, he earned multiple awards and recognitions. Even having a scholarship named in his honor. Seth’s strength helps us realize our motto “difficult but DOABLE!”
